Hello friends, yes, I’ve been noticeably absent these past few weeks. Please forgive.
Here’s the URL to Still Point Arts Quarterly in which one of my new essays, The Solitary Watcher, was published. The page number is #108, but this is a lovely journal and worth wandering through.

Enjoy! And hope your summer is going well.
Janet
Reblogged this on Stephen Page.
๐คจ need the electronic version too please. A bit too small to read comfortably.
And happy you are back .. hopefully with more.. I’ve too have been ‘away’ and returned this week. ๐
I can do that, Rose. If you open the piece on a PC, you can also enlarge the text. It will open in a pdf file and you should have an icon that enlarges it. However, if you aren’t able to do that, let me know and send me your email address.
Rose, I reposted the full essay on the blog. Enjoy!
Congratulations on the publication of your New Essay. I tried to read it but could not figure out how to make the print big enough for me. โค
Viv, send me your email address and I’ll send you an electronic version suitable for enlarging.
Viv, I posted the full essay on the blog.
I enjoyed your essay, Janet, and I can identify with the difference between being lonely and being alone. As an only child I spent a lot of time on both sides of the fence between those two. Your story brought back fond memories of the summers on my aunt & uncle’s farm in Ohio. Wandering through acres of Queen Anne’s lace and the hardwood forest behind their house were absolute joys.

Thank you, Allan! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. “Wandering through acres of Queen Anne’s lace and the hardwood forest” sounds glorious. I’m so touched that something I wrote brought back such wonderful memories for you. ๐
